You might not realize it, but how you feel and think about money is the main reason for your financial situation. One way to help you realize and re-think your relationship with money is to get a different perspective from those who have already “been there and done that.” These 3 books have had a major impact in my life on how to think about money in order to have financial success, so I wanted to pass them on to you. If you have already read them, that’s great! I always suggest reading them again because it never hurts to re-visit them. I’ve actually read some of these particular books multiple times. You never know when you might pick up on something different that you didn’t pick up on before. These are obviously not the only great books out there that will give you this insight, but I believe they each provide their own powerful perspectives to help get you on the right track!
- Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki
Rich Dad Poor Dad is Robert’s story of growing up with two dads — his real father and the father of his best friend, his rich dad — and the ways in which both men shaped his thoughts about money and investing. The book explodes the myth that you need to earn a high income to be rich and explains the difference between working for money and having your money work for you.
- Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
In Think and Grow Rich, although Hill’s aim was to coach others to become like said billionaires, it’s more about encouraging people towards their own perspective goals. “A quitter never wins-and-a winner never quits.” Through researching billionaires Napoleon Hill crafted the philosophy and lifestyle behind those who experienced financial success.
- Your Money Or Your Life by Vicki Robin
In Your Money Or Your Life, Vicki Robin shows readers how to gain control of their money and finally begin to make a life, rather than just make a living. In an age of great economic uncertainty when everyone is concerned about money and how they spend what they have, this updated edition of the bestselling Your Money or Your Life is an essential read. The premise of it, is that you exchange your time for money. And when you start thinking about how many hours of your life it took to save up the money to buy something, you really start thinking twice about your purchases.
