“It doesn’t matter if thousands of people believe in you, unless You believe in You.” ― Maddy Malhotra
Throughout your life there have been plenty of times when you’ve experienced and have even expressed your doubts about things. What it is exactly that you doubt during those times varies to just about anything. Of all the many different things you’ve doubted, the one most important thing that will always hold you back from achieving success is that you doubt yourself.
Not only do you doubt what you can do, but you also doubt your own ability to bounce back from setbacks and failures. Most often before you even get started. The fact is you can’t achieve success in any area of your life, if you don’t believe in yourself. Even financial success. If you really think about the formula for success, how could it ever be possible without YOU!
Believe in Yourself and Succeed
The only way to have continued, long lasting success in whatever you strive for, is that you must first believe in yourself. It’s having belief in yourself that allows you to pick yourself up when you’ve been knocked down. To shake off the dust and try again. It’s that belief in yourself that will keep you moving in the direction toward your vision of success. It can’t happen any other way.
It’s when you doubt yourself that you lose confidence. And it allows fear and insecurity to start coming up with all the excuses as to why you can’t or won’t be successful. If you stop to really consider the foundation for all the excuses you give yourself, they all boil down to one common enemy…fear! Fear is the mother of all doubt. Conquer fear and start by believing in yourself.
“To believe in one’s self is to take a worthwhile risk.” ― Ogwo David Emenike
Fear is a very strong and real emotion, and arguably one of the most powerful emotions. It’s so powerful that it often keeps you from achieving your true potential. There’s no doubt that the emotion is real which is what you react to. But whatever it is you fear is usually not. The fear you feel comes from the negative thoughts and ideas playing in your mind that haven’t happened yet.
The fear of failing, the fear of not being good enough, the fear of criticism. Whatever it is, by becoming aware and realizing the source of your excuses, can help you to overcome those fears. You overcome your fears by facing them. It’s only when you face them that you can learn to react to the real challenges that come your way.
What you’ll discover by facing those fears and overcoming them, is an increase in confidence that will give you the edge to believe in yourself to keep moving forward. One of the ways to help you to overcome your fears is to understand ahead of time that failure is inevitable on your journey for success. And that when failure does come, you don’t dwell on it and beat yourself up over it.
Learn from the lesson and move on! Another is to remember and think about things you were successful with in the past, no matter how small. You also need to make a conscious effort to stop your inner critic from bringing you down. And replace it with positive, uplifting self talk. It’s what you tell yourself on a regular basis that will help you keep a positive mental attitude to overcome those fears.
“Doubt is an obstacle to success, and success is how you control the doubt.” ― Unarine Ramaru
There are many facets that need to come together on your journey to financial success. And you’ll find that to believe in yourself is not only a crucial starting point for the journey, but also something you must continue to do throughout your journey. The fact is that you can never achieve success in any area of your life if you don’t believe in yourself.
It’s that belief in yourself that will keep you moving in the direction toward the vision you have of your future. Because without it, you may never even get started. And once you do get started, you will need that belief to get you through the inevitable times of doubt and uncertainty you will experience along the way. The most successful people you can think of have moments of doubt.
Even as you see them at the height of their success, there are times they have thoughts of doubt and uncertainty. So, it’s not just something you need to have to become successful. It’s something you need to have to continue to be successful. The more you believe in yourself, the more you’ll find success. Which in turn will build confidence, causing you to believe in yourself even more.
Like an upward spiral they feed into each other until confidence and self belief out weigh doubt and uncertainty. It’s a never-ending process, but it all starts with believing in yourself. Always remember, that you grow and improve every time you overcome your fears and challenges, which will prepare you and take you to the next level to where you want to go!
