Financeology – the study or skill of preparing your financial future.
When it comes to money and finances, whether it’s getting out of debt, saving to buy a home, funding for retirement or building wealth, there are basic truths and principles along with the right mindset to reach your financial goals. While these truths, principles and mindset are all necessary to accomplish those goals, there are many ways of getting there. There is no “one size fits all”. Different people have different “methods to their madness” in all areas of life, finances are no different. A saving, investing or wealth building plan or idea that works for one person may not for another. The important thing is to come up with the plans and ideas that fit who you are and what your financial goals are.
As we all know, large sums of money don’t just suddenly drop out of the sky when we need it. So, preparing your financial future depends on small consistent steps (or money habits) that add up over time. One financial goal leads to another: savings goals will lead to investing goals, investing goals will lead to wealth building goals until you reach the ultimate goal of financial freedom. Now, the term financial freedom means different things to different people, which goes back to what your goals are. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have more money than you know what to do with! Financial freedom in its simplest form is you having control over your money so your money doesn’t have control over you.
By studying, learning and applying the necessary steps to accomplish your goals, you will create the financial future you desire. This blog is meant to provide you with information, tips, ideas, inspiration and resources to help you on your journey to becoming a Financeologist and the wealth creator of your financial future!
Hi! I’m Robert and I have a passion for wanting to help people understand how they can create their financial future! I started Financeology101 as a way to share what I’ve learned from my own experiences. As you can imagine (or maybe even relate to), I struggled throughout my life with trying to find the right path to financial freedom. I attempted all kinds of things, from product inventions to starting businesses, only to find myself at a point (not too long ago) where I went through some life changing circumstances causing me to start thinking differently about money and my finances. Of course, the pieces of the puzzle didn’t come together all at once, but over time things started to gel. I figured out what works for me and my financial goals. My hope is to help straighten some of the “learning” curves on your path by sharing with you what I’ve learned and experienced from my own journey and put you on a straighter (fast) path to financial well-being!
